LR v2.0... Upgrade from Adobe or full version...

The Academic Superstore has the full version of LR v2.' for $95. If I purchase this version as opposed to purchasing the upgrade key direct from Adobe, should I have to uninstall the trial copy of 2.' I am using now? Or, will the Reg Key that comes with the full version work with my installed trial copy?

Michael, I don't actually know for sure, but I would expect that the 'academic' key would work with the trial install.

I think there's two kinds of keys. An LR2 upgrade key, that also requires a valid LR1.x key. Then there's an LR2 full version key, which doesn't require the 1.x key.

That makes sense Brad..

FYI, the "academic" version is not a stripped down version.. it is a complete full version of LR, but available at a discount for students or families with children of student age. I bought my original version from them.

I guess for $4 less I get the CD and a book and box etc... Not bad.
