Transfer photos from Lightroom 2 to iPhone

Is there a way to transfer your "edited" RAW photos from Lightroom 2.2 to the Apple iPhone?

I know the iPhone integrates tightly with Aperture 2 and iPhoto. I would prefer not to print Lightroom photos to files and import into iPhoto and from there transfer to the iPhone.

What do others who use LightRoom do to get photos on to their iPhone?

Thanks

Doesn't your iPhone show up as a removable drive on your computer? Mine does, and I just copy any Jpegs i'm interested in to it via explorer. I don't have a Mac, so it may be a different process.

Welcome to the forums, ejg189' and AirTimid! When you have a moment please fill out your signatures. Go to the User CP link above.

Take a look at Sean McCormack's article at http://lightroom-news.com/2''9/'1/'1/ttg-iphone-portfolio-1'/. Matthew Campagna from The Turning Gate has developed an excellent gallery plugin for the iPhone/iPod Touch. That appears to be the best presentation so far for those devices directly out of LR.

The TTG iPhone Portfolio is very nice, but it is a web gallery, which is different than having the photos in a photo album on your iPhone. They are both great options for different reasons.

I like to keep my photos in photo albums on the iPhone so I can share them in person easily whether or not I have Wi-Fi available. To get them on the phone, I have an export preset that resizes them to iPhone size and puts them in the correct folder. I then set iTunes to automatically sync that folder (it will even recognize sub folders and create new albums for these). I find it's fast and works quite nicely.

It would also be nice to have an iPhone gallery to point folks with an iPhone to, so I think I may end up doing add that to my website at some point ;-)

Yes Steve, that's true. I like the TTG gallery but it is a web gallery.

Perhaps the easiest way to get the images from LR to iPhone/iPod is to export them to a folder and point iTunes at that folder for the picture upload on sync. Then you can always add to that folder to keep your iPhone/iPod up to date with your latest images.
