LR PS and DNG

I've not been able understand how LR and PS work together when DNG is involved.

If I'm in LR, open a DNG then Edit in PS what happens when the file comes back to LR after editing? Does it come back as a DNG or some other format?

Hi Jim! Welcome to the forums!

When you save the file in PS it usually comes back as a PSD and gets stacked with the original DNG. You can also have it come back as a TIFF. Go to preferences and the External Editing tab. There you can set the filetype, bit depth, color space, etc.
