LR previews incredibly noisier than 1:1

I recently bought a new 24" monitor, and I noticed something new and strange in LR... Simply put, I have some photos which were severely underexposed, so I had to apply heavy adjustments to bring back the details in the shadows.

The problem is that while the 1:1 zoom shows a pretty good result, the normal scaled-to-fit preview is horribly grainy.

I have tried to set the preview size to the maximum allowed and the quality to "high", but no cigar...

I'm attaching two screenshots to show the issue. Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Hi buonaluce, welcome to the forum!

When you're in Develop module, only the 1:1 view goes through the noise reduction and sharpening pipeline, otherwise it'd really slow things down. Develop module always uses the raw data, and assumes it'll be changing quickly.

If you render the 1:1 preview and then look at a Fit view in Library module, you will see the already-rendered preview, complete with its NR/sharpening, but shrunk to fit.

Hey, thank you! Seems I kinda missed the main point here :) Now I'm happy and I can revert the preview quality to something more human :)
