LR not detecting Elements 6 for Mac?

I realize there is a thread on a similar subject (re:CS3) and I have tried to resolve my problem with the methods suggested there, with no luck! LightRoom will not recognize Elements 6 for Mac for external editing. I have tried the suggestion offered in the CS3 link back to Adobe, again with no success. I have removed the .plist and reinstalled the Elements application twice. Is there anyway that I can identify the path back to Elements 6 from LightRoom for external editing? A big thanks in advance@

ps. Hopefully Victoria, we can resolve this problem like one we did together on the 1.4 update problem!

No fix yet DJE, it's too new so the hooks aren't in yet. You should be able to set it as the other External Editor for the minute I think.

Thanks for the quick response Victoria. Yes, I have already done that, but would have preferred to have the two options, the default to Elements and the other to iPhoto. Please keep me posted as to any fixes that may show up on the horizon!

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Er, just everyone using LR and PSE6....... :D

I'll keep it in mind and make sure it gets posted if I hear anything - it'll probably wait for a new update, and I'm not sure it'll make it into the next one (1.4 replacement)

In the meantime, someone posted here the other day with a script to bring up a dialog to choose the external editor - so that you could have a number of external editors. Do a quick search and you should find it.

I have the same problem. Already have LightZone as the other external editor so I'll have to wait for a fix for this.

Any chance the Elements developers could let the Lightroom team know there is a new version coming up so they could add it in advance - just a thought :)

Victoria and Others,

Just received a Tech-Note from Adobe indicating that there is no connectivity between the LightRoom and and the new version of Elements 6 is because Elements 6 came out later than LightRoom v1.3.1. It should be corrected when the new update for LightRoom is finally released, there was no date in the reply indicating when that might be. So I will be using the second option available within LightRoom to edit externally with the new Elements 6 during the interim.

Just letting you know the latest.

Still a problem with...

Looks like the problem identified within this thread still occurring! Was hoping this would be an easy fix! Anyone else still experiencing this issue. Would have been nice to have a direct connect with Elements 6 for Mac. Gotta say though, is sure great to have printing back with 1.4.1

1.4.1, as far as I know, was mainly about fixing the problems in 1.4. I'd assume it'll be the next release before PSE6 is properly linked.
