Has anyone else experienced problems with this plug-in and does anyone know whether it will be fixed? The programme Magick was rejected by the OS software as not being appropriately certified. Is there any way around this?

Many thanks

I doubt that the plugin author can do much about it. The problem is not the plugin itself, but ImageMagic that is used in the plugin. That is not authorised by Apple and the plugin author can't do anything about that. So you will either have to use the solution I posted, or contact the people behind ImageMagic and see what they can do.

Mac, really only like software downloaded from the app store.

You can via System Preferences, Security and Privacy, Trust/Full access for this software

Hope this helps?

After my initial “in place” upgrade to Catalina morgrify still worked, although I had to fiddle around with fonts for printing the metadata. When I installed the recent dot release, it no longer works. A weird thing I noticed was that after trying to run it, magic app in the plug-in package was changed to morgrify. I also tried giving magical full trusted access using Preferences, but it did not help.

I haven't installed Catalina yet, but I believe the problem is GateKeeper, which blocks non-trusted apps. Giving the app full access is not the way to solve that. See the link I posted earlier.

Just trying to find a workaround without invoking what seems like an unwise nuclear option. I still have updated my main iMac system, so I’m good for now.
