I have today upgraded to v2 and perfomed the database conversion.
All is OK apart from the fact that most of my keywords have been set to not export :frown:

I exported keywords to a txt file and removed all the [] brackets and then re-imported the keywords but they still show as not exporting.

The only way is to remove the keywords and then import the list, this has the downside of actualy removing the keywords from the files DOH! :x

Have you got a lot of keywords? I'd hold fire on this issue for a day or two and see if it's a more general problem. How's your SQL?

OK, it's definitely a bug and an annoying one too. The odd things is why it affects some and not others - I upgraded catalogues without it happening. If there's not a quick fix, I'm pretty sure it won't take long (for either of us) to figure out the SQL and update the catalogue directly. Let's see what Adobe say.

For those that can't wait for a fix (like me :D) this is how I fixed the non exported keyword problem.

1) Put all files with keywords in a Quick Collection and save out metadata.
2) Make sure auto XMP writing is turned off.
3) Export your keywords to a text file and remove all the [] square brackets.
4) Delete all your keywords within Lightroom (scary )
5) Import your edited keyword text file.
6) For all the files in the Quick Collection force a Read Metadata to reconnect the keywords with your now (hopefully) exporting keywords.
7) Turn back on auto XMP writing if you have it that way.

Depending on how many files and keywords you have, you may want to find something to do while this chunders along. Make love, read war and peace, in my younger days the two used to take about the same amount of the same...

Approx 5''' files that had keywords and 28'' keywords but grouped under the alphabet ie [A] so I had to delete 27 top levels to get the 28'' keywords.

I reckon in total it took about 2.5 to 3 hours.

LOL :D

I think I would wait as well.

I had only just started my keywording marathon so had only completed a small number. Now I have no excuses but keyword the remaining 21,''' :(
