Import LR importing images already in catalog

I copy images from my iPhone into LR 5. Two images already in LR always show up. The file numbers match. I wonder why LR doesn't recognize that they are not new photos. I can delete them from my phone to solve the problem. But still like to solve the puzzle.

The most widely recognized explanation Lightroom can't import your photographs is that it accepts the records are now imported. At the point when this occurs, certain documents will seem to turn gray out and can't be brought into the inventory. To fix this, go to Document Dealing with and uncheck the "Don't Import Speculated Copies" choice.
