I just received the above error this morning after re-opening lightroom 2.3. Now Lightroom will not open the default catalogue, so I cannot see any of my images. I have created a new catalogue and tried to import from the old catalogue but it just hangs. I'm using WinXP Pro with all updates. I'm thinking its a catalogue issue, any ideas on how to fix this? I have search these forums and followed a couple of suggestions but these did not fix the problem.

Thanks,
Jim

Welcome Jim, sorry I haven't an answer but to help us help you could you please take a moment to fill in your signature in the "userCP' that is found in the nav-bar at the top left of the page - thanks.

Enjoy when your sorted!!:lol::lol:

What exactly do I need to fill in there?

THanks,

Very good to have, OS, PC details, Lr and other software versions.
File types typically used, Raw vs JPG, etc.
Photo equipment, personal data, gallery links, etc. if you like.

Just no third party commercial advertising. Your website link is fine, an ad for 'Blue Pills' is not.

I just started having issues with this as well. Seems like if I take all the develop presets out of the dir in the application data dir the error message goes away and images will reappear. recently installed LR2/morgify plug and LRBlog plugins so thought maybe those were the problem, so took those out and no error when dev presets are out, as soon as I put in any dev presets the error comes back and all images gone. Results repeatable on different catalogs as well.

HELP PLEASE

Tracy, welcome.

I'm a little bit confused, do the Lr2/mogrify and LRBlog plugins have any effect or not?

As I'm reading your post, only the presence or absence of the user develop presets has an effect on the problem?

How many user presets do you have? Have you tried adding/removing various subsets of the presets to try to isolate the problem?
