LR edit in PS

Hi all!
I serious problem getting LR to edit in PS.I have LR 2,2 and 2,3 RC and they both behave the same way.
They wont open a picture as a temporary .nef. All needs to bee converted before. Dont like the idea about alway having a tiff.
My problem started when i bought a new computer.
All the options smartobject etc.. is grayed out.

I have a Macbook pro, osx 1'.5, LR 2,2, Cs3

I have tried to reinstall and all other things i have read in this forum.
Really getting frustrated!

Hi Patrik, welcome to the forum!

You'll need ACR 4.6 with CS3 and updated to 1'.'.1.

And then, if you don't get the dialog that asks whether to 'Render using Lightroom' or 'Open Anyway', you'll need to go to Preferences and press 'Reset warning dialogs'. Once that dialog comes back, you can press the 'Open Anyway' to skip the tiff.
