LR Display of RGB Values

Hey guys. I just recently joined up. I've had LR for a while, but I haven't really used it much because I get frustrated by the ways in which it doesn't work like other apps. After speaking with a photographer that I work for that I had turned on to Lightroom back in the beta stages, I decided that I am going to try and figure out the Lightroom way and make good use of it.

My first question concerns the display of RGB values. Is their a setting to get LR to display the actual RGB values in a photo and not percentages?

LR works in 16 bit, and the '-255 scale which you're used to seeing is an 8-bit scale, so it wouldn't be technically correct. You'll be surprised how quickly you get used to it. That said, I've heard plenty of people requesting it, even just as a 'rough translation', so you could add your voice via the Feature Request page.

What actual RGB values? Assuming you are shooting raw, LR is using a form of ProPhotoRGB, the '-255 scale doesn't work for that.

No, because there's really no such thing as "actual RGB values" until you define a color space on export.

I assume you're really asking for a '-255 scale? That scale would be a lie, because you're working in 16-bit space, not 8-bit.

You can, of course, convert, but it is a bit meaningless. Even more so since the space isn't a straightforward ProPhoto RGB. Other than by Adobe Engineers the space hasn't been mapped as far as I know!

All right, then does anyone know what exactly the % numbers mean?
How are they calculated? They roughly match L* values, not exactly of course.
