I run a Pro with two quad core cpus and dual screens on a Nvidia 8800GT card with 512MB.
I have posted before about all cores pegging out when using LR for things like cropping.

Sure, turning lens control off helps a bit, but it still is a major PITA.
Well, it looks like tonight I have just found the cause of it.
Having LR running on both monitors.

If I just have it running on the primary one at no point do I get pegging on any of the 8 cores.
I don't suppose there is a Pro user out there with a similar spec that could back up my finding please?
I am running a fresh install of Lion, well, two months fresh.

Plenty of users reporting similar issues, many using two screens, over at the U2U Forum.
