First off, this is an amazing site, I am learning so much here! Thanks to everyone.
I am having desaturation issues when I am importing 12 bit RAW files from my D3''. This is happening mostly with landscapes and sunset images where I have increased the saturation on the camera itself. Nikon calls this "vivid". I successfully import the images, they look great on the camera and the loupe view in LR until I click on one of them for the first tiem in which it will state "loading". After the loading process finishes, the pixelation goes away, the image's color will instantaneously lighten and desaturate. It takes the beautiful pinks of my sunsets and makes them almost white.
I like to spend more time shooting and less time editing, hence like most of us, I try to get the best shot from the camera, which my D3'' does a spectacular job at.
Why am I loosing all my great colors? Both the camera and LR are in sRGB.
