LR can't sort pictures

I have LR 1.4.1 and I have some trouble with the sort function.

I use two camera bodies ( 5D ). One with wide zoom and one with tele zoom. I use the both cameras simultaneously, especially if I'm shooting an event or something.

My problem is that LR can't sort my pictures by capture time properly. I download the pictures from both cameras in to the same folder in LR and first I have pictures from one camera sorted by capture time and then pictures from the other camera sorted by capture time. Both of my cameras have the same time and the same settings. I wish I could see all my pictures from the same shoot sorted by the capture time.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble Matti, but welcome to the forum.

I haven't had any problems with sorting by capture time with numerous different cameras, so let's see if we can figure out what's going wrong.

Are you definitely selecting capture time as the sort order? Sometimes it defaults to import order.

And probably a silly thought, but just double check the date again... I'm sure you're probably right, but the last few times I've heard of this, it's either been a different year, or an AM/PM difference, so it's worth triple checking.

Thanks Victoria, you were right!

This is so embarrassing, but the year in one of my cameras was 2''5. I changed the memory battery a while back and must have adjusted the date too quickly.

I have been using LR since the first beta and have been using DSLR since the first Nikon D1 in 1999. I should know better. I must be getting old or something :)

I wouldn't feel embarrassed Matti, it happens SO often! I've done it too!

Did you figure out how to change the time stamp ok?
