LR can't find my folders

I moved a folder containing all my folders of cataloged images from where they previously existed to my desktop. LR now displays all question marks (?) beside the folders in the Library. When I right-click on a folder and choose "find missing folder", select it in the Borwse for Folder list, select OK, it deletes the folder in the LR list. Could someone please tell me what I am not doing correctly? Thanks.

Hi Larry!

You're doing it correctly. It deletes the folder with the ? beside it because it no longer exists at that location. Once you point it to the folders new location you should see it appear elsewhere in the folder list. Using your example it should appear under the Desktop folder. If the triangle to the left of Desktop is point to the right, click it to point it down and open up the folder tree for it. You should see it there at its new location.
