My Pixel 3 camera has a choice between jpeg, HDR+, and HDR+ Extended. The difference in the HDRs is that the Extended shoots additional frame(s) and provides a final photo with a larger dynamic range.
My question is: are the HDRs shot in the Lightroom App Extended? Or does the App decide on the spot which to create?

The HDR's that Lightroom creates are indeed from multiple frames merged.
