I'm not at my photo computer, so I can really test this out, but does LR Adjustment brush respond to the pressure sensitivity of a Wacom pen? What is the command for viewing a mask while you're painting?

How are people using their Wacom pens (and what pen and tablet buttons settings) with LR2? I find since I'm not doing much in CS4, I'm not using the Wacom much, but don't want to miss an opportunity if it'll do something better in LR.

Thanks!

Reid

I do not know about pressure but hitting "H" will hide/unhide the pin and pressing "O" will cycle showing a red mask, blue mask, grey mask and no mask.

Others on the forums are using this tablet and may complete the answer...

Reid, I believe some factors of the Local Adjustment brush are controlled by stylus pressure.

Here's an earlier thread on this forum that discusses it a bit.

I've just played a bit with my low-end Graphire, and I wasn't seeing much controllability.

Hi Reid!

Yes, the pressure controls are active in LR and the size of the adjustment brush will grow with pressure applied. It's not as sensitive as it is in PS. I find I have to press harder for a response in LR.

Thanks!

Thanks all for your responses. I'll have to play around and see what works.

Brad, I hope you aren't suffering too much with your computer. It pains me every time I see your signature line with PentD 3.4GHz as I know how difficult things were in LR2 before I upgraded.

Off topic response, skip me, no info on pen tablets.

Reid, I guess I'm blessed, because I'm getting by OK. I'd never call Lr 'snappy' in this environment, but it gets the job done for me. After 35+ years working with computers, I know you can't 'time' the market, but the longer I can hold out for an upgrade, the higher up the food-chain it'll be. :)

My wife and I operated a small office based business for years, and I'm sure I moved literally scores of PCs thru there, so I've long been used to the newest and fastest. Two kids in college, and early retirement for me and mom, has curtailed the 'bleeding edge' budget. I've been investing more in photography related stuff.

Thanks for asking tho', :)
