LR 3 beta 2 "edit in" command not working

Hello,

I just upgraded from LR 2.6 to LR 3 beta 2. So far it's great...

But when I right click an image and select "edit in PS 4" and select "edit a copy with LR adjustments" LR creates a copy alongside the original, but doesn't open it in photoshop. The only way to get an image in photoshop is to export it, open it with Photoshop, then save and reimport it. It worked perfectly in LR 2.6- is there something easy i'm not doing?

I've also tried using photoshop as a secondary editing application, and it does the same thing.


Any help would be great!

Have done both, and still no luck. It still does exactly the same thing- just makes a copy and doesn't open it in photoshop.

I may have to go back to using LR 2.7!

Paul, welcome to the forum!

If Nik's excellent suggestions don't do the trick, go to Preferences and hit the 'Reset all warning dialogs' checkbox - you've probably set a warning dialog to 'Render using Lightroom' with 'do not show again' set at some stage.

Hmmmmm, ok, does it STILL work perfectly in 2.6?

Yeah, still does. It's really annoying.

I don't want to have to uninstall photoshop, and I really like the noise reduction of LR 3.

I'm stuck!

Paul, report it on the Adobe beta forum and see if they have any bright ideas. Reinstalling PS (no need to uninstall, I don't think) might be worth a shot.
