LR 2015.9 cc crashing upon export

This newest version of Lightroom brought with it a new problem: crashing during export of jpegs. I've seen others on the net elsewhere post about this problem. Have any of you exerienced this or solved it?

Also following this thread-
I exported 50 images to jpg -destination: a USB 8Gb stick, the export took nearly 15 minutes. It did finish but seems very slow to me.

What kind of crash was it? Just Lightroom, or was it the whole Mac?

Although export speed will depend on a few factors, and is thus difficult to comment meaningfully on specific export speeds, nevertheless 20 seconds per image does sound rather slow. What happens if you export the same files to say, the Desktop? Just trying to eliminate the USB stick....
