LR 2.5 often hangs in Web module

UPDATE: :-[ Looks like user error--the images were on an external drive that was not connected. Does LR not give a warning dialog for this?

I'm using LR 2.5 with OS X 1'.6 (I'm pretty sure I had this problem with 1'.5 as well). When making Web galleries LR often hangs; the app doesn't totally freeze up or crash, but hours will pass with little or no progress. Anyone else having this problem? I've tried optimizing the catalog but the problem continues. Any advice would be appreciated.

There's a particular gallery I've been trying to make. It got hung up so I tried optimizing the catalog. I noticed that it's getting stuck at the same image, in the "export image bin/..." stage. Is there a cache or something to delete? This gallery has 185 images. I'm working from .dng files.

Hmm, I do seem to be getting hangs again, even when my files are online. Anyone else getting hangs while LR is building and uploading a Web gallery from DNG files?

If always hanging on the same image, can you try to exclude that one from your selection and see if it goes through? This particular one may be corrupt...

Thanks for the reply Denis...after a long hang, I restarted LR and managed to finish the Web gallery. Next time it happens I'll check for corrupt files.

ETA: OK, new set of pictures, and now LR crashes while making the Web gallery. I tried optimizing the catalog, but it keeps crashing as it's "updating web gallery." I checked, and it doesn't seem to be stopping at the same image.
