Lr 2.4 not printing on my epson r1800

I'm going nuts! I have enjoyed printing from the Lr print module onto my epson r18'' for the past 2 years, until about 6 weeks ago. When suddenly I would get an exclamation mark on my printer icon, saying printing had stopped. I have dumped preferences, opened a new cat. tried printing from a new catalog, reinstalled, called Epson reinstalled printer too! The strange thing is that from print module I can print to another epson printer no problem... I can print from PhotoShop CS4 to my r18'' as well.I print from iphoto onto my r18''. After dealing with outsourced Adobe (hi I'm Rajid from New Deli) for over 4 weeks and waiting for them to take it to level 2 tech support being promised they'd get back to me in 24 hrs.. not once but now 3 times and not hearing from them for over a week is just amazing how they stay in business. I had heard that adobe tech support was one of the best! I just want to be able to print again from Lr to my Epson r18''!

So, what OS, what Lr version? What changed 6 weeks ago?

If you want help, you'll have to tell us more about what's going on.

While you're welcome to relate your support experiences, both positive and negative, ranting about Adobe won't accomplish anything, except perhaps to alienate those members inclined to assist you.

Hi Brad,Thanks for replying.... I'm running OS 1'.4 Lr 2.4 I had a corrupt directories issue and I had my HD re-formatted and I installed all my apps...then I upgraded. From CS3 to CS4 and from Lr2.1 to 2.4 That's all I can think of. up till then I had been able to print from Lr to my epson printer. I think this is the order of events.... Also, my frustration was showing... for that I apologize....

The reason I asked, is some printer drivers have problems in 64 bit mode. I was wondering if you had changed anything in that arena? I know on Mac, some folks have better success by switching to 32 bit Lr to print, because the printer vendors haven't updated the drivers. Maybe the Mac-folk can fill in the blanks.

go to the LR app in Applications, and right click on it, then select Get Info. There is a check box to force it to use 32bit. All the other apps you suggested work are 32bit so this could be the right track.

Have you re-installed the exact same Epson drivers ?

I have re-installed the epson drivers.... I went to my apps folder to Lr I right click on get info, but no where do I see a check box for 32bits or anything close... am I looking in the right place?

attached is screen print. Look at the first option under the coloured boxes on the left..... you can see what I'm looking at in the Finder to the right.

Sizzlingbadger... thanks for the finder attachment, mine is exactly the same except it has no box to check for 32bit just one to lock. Weird.... Brad thanks for posting and trying...

Thanks... My hardware may not support 64bit, but what's confusing is that it printed before from Lr to my r18'' on a regular basis.
