There's another thread regarding my not getting good prints when using LR 2.3 set to SP22'' Prem. Luster 144' icc profile. Today I set LR to "Managed by Printer" and used the Colorsync setting in the print driver, with pretty good results, though it was at a small size - CD cover.
What's the difference between LR 2.3 sending the SP22'' PLPP profile to the printer w/ it's color management clicked off, and setting LR to "Managed by Printer" and clicking Colorsync in the print dialogue? Aren't they using the same profile from the same folder, and if so why would it look any different?
Before having to reinstall my system this week, I was getting great results. I had just printed an 11 x 11 version of my latest promo, a beer pour, and it looked great using the Epson profile from LR. Since the system reinstallation the prints look terrible that way, but much better using Colorsync in the print driver. Why!?
