Hello, one of my catalogs (the most recent one which gets almost all new pics) counts 16843 images. That is the number displayed in the left common next to the words 'All photographs'.

When I click on All Photographs, though, I see at the bottom the info "16842 of 16843 photos'. (see attachment)

Am I missing one image? Is there a ghost photo somewhere? How can I find? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Details: I'm using LR 2.3 mac. This is my workflow: images on my CF card are copied to a folder on the HDD by Lightroom, and get tags and a standard import preset and name change while importing. This has never gone wrong... After editing the pictures, I move them to a network drive (the archive) and update the location info.

Hi liegebeestig, welcome to the forum!

At a guess, you either have a filter set, or you have a stack which is collapsed.

Hi Victoria, looks like a great forum, thanks!
Indeed, I might have used stacking one time as an experiment, and that was the solution. Thanks!

The latter drove me nuts for about 3' minutes one day. I actually started going directory by directory until I found one which was "off" and finally noticed the stack.

Not very intuitive.

Yeah, it's a frequently asked question!
