I saw an adobe post somewhere yesterday saying that 2.2 is on its way - including support for the new eos 5d Mk2. Think I'm going to have to buy one! Anyone using PS CS4 yet with LR 2.1?

Yep, been using that combo for a while PJA, works pretty well.

Recently added LR 2.1 to CS4 and they play very well together. Still learning a lot about both and photography in general.

so is the upgrade from CS3 without any issues? I remember upgrading from CS2 and there were all sorts of things didn't quite work right after CS2 was un-installed!

I've heard of a few bits and pieces not working quite right. Main one that sticks in my memory is Fit Image, which used to record in an action as pixels, and now for some reason records as cm or in and therefore does odd things on other PPI images. And a few glitches with droplets needing re-recording. Rest of it seems to have gone down pretty well without incident. General consensus is that it's more stable than CS3 - particularly Bridge.

Here's a question Victoria - in CS3 and previous versions, any text effects applied did this using pixel values and not percentages, so say for instance you raise some text - give it a 3D type effect and apply some shadow etc, then in the past enlarging the text did not enlarge the effect as it was set in pixels. I alsways hoped this would change with a new version to give these options in percentage - just wondered if this has happened in CS4?

Cheers, P

Hmmmm, I don't use text effects very often. I'll give it a shot later.
