lr 1.4.1 keyword partial disassociation issue

everything worked 1''% fine before some recent event,....... that being my laptop containing this copy of lightroom had a boot up issue strangely occur or by freeing up diskspace i selected thumbnails and threw those out...........thats what happened after ive spent a few days assigning keywords to each individual photo so as to really individualize them all, my specfic issue is this......on the lefthand side of the library we have the keyword tags list, all keywords are there, some have 1 photo associated with that word some have several.....(fender strat-4) (new born calf-1)...prior to my "event" if you selected fender strat-4 ,then all four pictures of fender strats appeared regardless of the folder or time they were taken.......they appeared as they were supposed to...currently going down that list of keywords and selecting any of them , you may get a populated list of your selections either in its entirety as before, a partial if it says 5 exist then some # less than 5 will populate, or you will get '..........i opened each folder containing photos, did a ctrlA to select all and watched the line at the top left of LR run across and saay connect metadata but that didnt reconnect my keyword tags.........clicking on a photo,seeing the assigned keyword in the righthand side keyword box will not re-associate it in the keyword tags list either........what must i do to re-associate them over in the keyword tags list as before, so as to have a definative photo come up with its assigned keyword like this was designed to do?....thanks craig

So, Fender Strat says 5, but clicking on the keyword in the Left Hand browser, only reveals, say 3 photos in the grid? What does the description on the top line of the filmstrip (bottom of the screen) say, Keyword Tags/.../.../ x photos / x selected ?

Tell us more about 'throwing out thumbnails'.

If you look at one of the 'Fender Strat' images which doesn't appear when it should, what does it look like in the Right Hand 'enter keywords' panel?

wow, hey brad........oddly enough its repopulated now and what i did was go into the metadata box below keyword tags............opened the list by lenses and it reconnected them all, for good measure i also opened the camera heading there as well and it appears theyve all repopulated in their entirity............yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........over in the right hand enter keywords panel everything was exactly as it should of been, it it had 1 keyword or several, all of those were intact in the larger square box, not the keyword list boxes of several individuals for speed inserting............by throwing out thumbnails,,,,,in this dumb vista, they have about 1' things listed over there, and thumbnails is one of them i had previously left those intact when cleaning out temp files.....anyway im all fixed up

strip had filename, # of photos in folder, 1 selected and keyword icon on each individual photo

all images had keyword data over in teh box on righthand side. ..for some reason they werent associated with keyword tags columns........i tried to see what diferentuated those that were and those that were not but i couldnt find the nuance

Sometimes, just a reboot, or a Lr restart will work mysterious wonders ....
