LR 1.3.1 -> 2.0b ->1.3.1 ok?

Hi,

The subject says it all.
Can I install the 2.' beta and IF it does not work fo me (or I feal otherwise) downgrade easily back to 1.3.1?

Hi!
I think it is important to remember that this is currently a public beta version of Lightroom, and should therefore be used for testing and not for critical work. My understanding is that Adobe recommends installing the beta-version as an addition to 1.x, not instead of it. It looks VERY promising, though!

Leave 1.3.1 installed. 2.' beta sits happily alongside.

There are risks in any beta, so use it only on duplicate/backed up files, nothing critical.

I had the same question. Not only does 2.' sit alongside, but its a completely separate catalog under the 'Silvertone" directory (which is under 'My Pictures") - at least in Windows. The normal catalog for 1.3.x is under the "Lightroom" directory (which is also under "My Pictures"). So, think of it as completely separate applications and catalogs.
