I have done something really bad, and I can't figure out what it is or how to fix it. I suddenly have dozens of images with a lost image warning. I've managed to find a few, but it's labor intensive and not 100% accurate. Any suggestions?

The Lightroom catalog is just a list of file locations. The problem is that you have moved or deleted the images outside of Lightroom so the list is now incorrect. LR is pointing to files that aren't there any more.

Given that you have found some that would indicate that they were moved, not deleted. Are they all in the same folder on the HD or are they in different folders?
