A question about metadata...
I just started to use Lightroom and I have a small issue, visible among others on flickr.
When I am using Nikon software to process my pics, I see all the relevant metadata like the lens used, the maximum aperture etc... in the processed pic, even after upload on flickr.
When I use Lightroom, most Nikon stuff, including the lens info for instance is gone. Only the basic parameters like shutter speed, aperture, picture size etc are still there.
Any idea on what to do not to lose anything. I am just a beginner with this...
I am using Opanda exif viewer to check...
here is an example in flickr of a picture processed with Nikon Capture NX
http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanhooveld/2581186'44/meta/in/set-721576'5615717321
here is the limited data I get after using Lightroom
http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanhooveld/2993384854/meta/
the same is true if I use an exif viewer before uploading.
I just rechecked and it could be that Lightroom is storing the metadata in a non-Nikon format, because if I reopen the exported jpeg in lightroom I see the lens I used.
Anybody an idea ?
Thanks in advance for any useful info.
