Losing LR 2.3 adjustments, when opening image in PS CS3.

This isn't my problem, but I'm trying to sort it for someone else. (Honest:cheesy

LR 2.3 & PS CS3 not sure of operating system, sorry They're also a new user with LR, but experienced with PS.

OK what is happening is .. they are making adjustments in Lightroom and then editing a copy in PS with LR adjustments. The LR adjustments are seen in PS.

Saving from PS (not save as) and then returning to LR, all looks hunky dory, both LR and PS edits are visible in LR.

When they open the edited file in PS it looks as though the LR adjustments are not there.

I've tried to re-create this, but I'm on LR 2.4 and PS CS3, so not sure if upgrading to LR 2.4 would fix it or not.

Anyone know if this is a known LR 2.3/PS CS3 problem?

I know upgrading to LR 2.4 wouldn't hurt, just wanted to know if there is a problem with 2.3 before I tell them to upgrade.

I was struggling to re-creeate the problem, so I guess it's a user error.

They've installed LR on their laptop, which has PS on it and it doesn't happen. So it looks as though it is an error with his desktop machine. :roll:

A desktop re-install is going to happen. Will keep you informed.

The problem turned out to be a corrupt install file. Adobe advised to re-download the software and re-install. Problem solved.
