So, I ran out of space on my local disc where I save my originals from CC. No worries, I have everything in the cloud, I just removed the disc and checked "dont save original photos locally" for a while. Then I got a larger disc where my photos would fit and checked "store original copies locally" only to discover that lightroom tries to find the photos on my old, now deleted disc instead of downloading my photos from the cloud. So everytime I start up lightroom I get the message "moving photos" and then "checking photo xxx out of xxx" the counter nerver goes beyond 8769 and stops dead. Removing lightroom and reinstalling it does not solve the issue. I can press "stop until next start" and all my new photos go nicely into my new disc. Working from the cloud with my photos goes splendidly, but I still just for ease of mind, would like to have them stored locally too. (maybe lightroom CC is slightly faster to work with the if you have local copies too?) Can you suggest a workaround? Wait a minute, it seems clicking my old unsyncronised photos one by one seems to help, I have to look into this.
