Loading photo from grid view is slow (or does not happen)

Exact Lightroom Version (Help menu > System Info): Lightroom Classic version: 7.0.1 [ 1142117 ]

Library grid mode. I click on a photo in a folder I have never opened in the new version and had not opened in a few months I get a spinning doughnut and "Loading." But it just keeps spinning. Loading loading loading... etc. After 20 mins I closed LR. I re-opened LR and photo appeared in 3 seconds. LR got stuck opening the file. Other photos in the grid view are opening OK. What has happened?
H9ow can I speed up the loading process?

So is it just that one folder Richard? Any videos or anything in there?
