Ok, I didn't really know how to title this but I think I am having a brain fart.
I usually have a workflow which deals with exporting for online posting to a gallery with minimal development within lightroom. Creating virtual copies or even just making the edits directly to the image was fine. If anything, I just transfered the "touched" image to another folder within the parent folder.
Once complete, I would then just export. I would choose which I would put into the gallery or which I would choose to post on the blog.
I then started realizing that I want my blog images to have more "POP". So changing the workflow around, I would take the images assigned to the blog and edit them within Photoshop (used some tutorials). Using the same jpg file which I exported originally. However, now I have to import this back into lightroom to reflect/archive the changes.
Now I'm realizing that I'm creating two actual images. The original and the ones exported and then imported back into lightroom because of the edit done in Photoshop.
Is there a better way of doing this and am I correct in the statement that editing in photoshop I should expect a result of 2 copies of an image.
I am already seeing the simple fact that if I had 5 pictures that I took and I want to post them in my blog with the edited "pop" changes, at the end of the day, I will have 1' pictures altogether?
I'm having a brain fart with this because I am trying to find other ways. The ones I came across are the following:
1. Edit to Photoshop within Lightroom. Even then, doesn't it still import the .psd/.tiff file?
Is there anyway, not having to have duplicate images that decreases Hard Drive space?
