OK. I'm on a newer Intel Mac. I have looked at hundreds of threads with the same problem but none of them can answer my question, maybe someone on here can.

I'm trying to put Lightroom on my machine, and I had a previous version on here. I'm trying to delete all the files, cause this new LR I have isn't opening cause I am missing some kind of files that needs to be deleted. I have tried so many times and nothing. I tried using Forklift and AppZapper and neither one of those found all the files, it actually didn't even find some of the obvious ones. I was kinda dissappointed there.

These are the files I've deleted and tried to reinstall.

Lightroom itself
Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom (All the files in there)
All the Cache Lightroom files
Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom.plist

Is there something else I am missing. It's really frustrating. Oh and it's the older Lightroom, not Lightroom 2.

Thanks so much guys.

Look in user/library/application support....... etc as well.

Generally with Macs you can just install over the top of older versions. What I do is rename the installed app with the version number e.g. LR1.4.1

Hope that helps.....

Hi Zach, welcome to the forum!

If it's telling you a newer version has been on there, the key to being able to reinstall is usually to simply delete the receipt
package from [systemdrive]/Library/Receipts/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2.pkg
