Hi all,

New member here - been a long time user of Lightroom.

Updated to the latest version and have experienced all kinds of problems :(

All of my RAW images were previously edited under Process Version 5. The images were saved as super resolution DNG files.

Since updating, my library now contains a random mix of Version 5 and Version 6. I haven't converted any images to Version 6 yet! Its randomly done it automatically.

But thats not my main concern. The huge issue I have right now is that the images on my screen within Lightroom look as they should. However, when I export (either as a TIFF or JPEG) the resulting image is changed/inferior. Colour and luminosity is off. Let me show you...

Original File (before recent update). Orange clouds towards centre of image punchy/saturated
Original.JPG

After Recent Update. Orange clouds towards centre of image less punchy/desaturated. But its worse than that - as you begin to scan around the image - you start to notice more and more subtle changes. Less luminosity in bright areas, subtly muted colours everywhere etc. Taken together the effect is slightly inferior to the original. On other images (especially my autumn woodland photos) the difference between the original file and the newly exported version is really pronounced.

Has anyone else noticed these changes in their own images?

Cheers, Jago

Solution
I have resolved the problem. It seems that when the update occurred it changed my export settings to sRGB (When I normally use Adobe RGB). So when I export my DNG files as Adobe RGB then re-import back into Lightroom and view them in the Develop module they now look identical. Whereas the sRGB export does look way different (as one would expect) when compared to the DNG file within the Develop Module.

So all good now :)
I've not noticed a change in color, no. But PV6 (which came in with Classic 12.4) will automatically change if you open an image in Develop - it shouldn't have made an appreciable change, but maybe that's the reason for the color on this one?

Evening, I could not have put it better myself, since upgrading to the latest LR version, I am experiencing these exact issues you describe above!

That is good to know. Bookmarked.
