I have to agree with Matt regarding Adobe's quest for continuing AI updates, rather than fixing some of the know issues or improving on what we have already. But in these days AI seems to gather much more interest and finances for the big corporations, than anything else! See his video in the link below.

As an application developer, which is more important? Staying ahead or up with the competition and attracting new users? Or fixing long standing issues that have already been accepted by the existing customer base? As a for profit public company, how would you be expected to answer that dilemma?

As the business leader of any software group, presumably the decision-maker, the answer depends heavily on the state of competition, market share, and the gain (or loss) in customers over time. Also overall corporate goads for revenue and market share, which can often override the decisions of the software group business leader. No simple answer.

No, spoken by someone who was in the software business for many years, often worked closely with engineers, and also privy to the issues faced by the business leaders.

That all said, I am not exactly a fanboy for Adobe's business practices. Just check my past postings in this area.

Forgot to add that it would be completely unacceptable for people outside the engineering organization to specify HOW engineering does its work overall, for new developments, and even for bug fixes, or even decide on schedules.
