(This may not be the right forum) I just watched one of the first day's broadcast on the subject of "range masks". Excellent!

In fact I've shelled to have ongoing access to the lost.

The one on the Library module is one of the best Library overviews I have seen. It should be required viewing for all new LrC users. ;)

I too enjoyed Matt Kloskowski's presentation so much that I ordered VIP access so I can refer back to his lesson.

Agree. I watched a few of the WEBINARS on the first day and liked the teaching so much I signed up for the GIL status so that I can watch on my schedule. Also like the class notes.

Some very useful information and tips I want to try out. I'm going to give Time Lapse a try. Never understood how to do that with Lr + PS until the session.

However, I found not being able to ask questions disappointing. Also they were all pre-recorded, which made them come across as a collection of YouTube Videos.

I guess that is what they basically were, You Tube Vids or the equivalent thereof. Virtual can never replace real in my books so it's the Pandemic's fault without doubt. For all that I thought the contributions were superb and there was a lot to be learned from them. Congratulations and thanks to all involved, be they presenter or organiser.

I registered and then perused each day's offerings the next day and found most to be useful, and some to be really helpful at teaching me things that I did not know and was happy to learn. I did not initially sign up for the VIP pass and mulled its purchase during the conference. On Sunday I decided to purchase the VIP pass (as I am now helping a nephew learn how to use LR Classic), but the price was raised from $100 to $149. I am not sure if that price was for everybody or just those that did not attend for free or with a pass, but I found the last minute price hike a disincentive rather than an incentive to purchase the pass. I would have thought that with a sunk cost that any last minute sales would have been encouraged as that just boosts the bottom line in a competitive market, but perhaps I am not understanding something. I wrote to ask for clarification but have not heard back. But other than the VIP pricing change, I thought it was a good mix of classes.

Hi Ken

It was always advertised as a discounted price ($99) leading up to the Summit (up to 5 days before from memory).

Some really great sessions!
Yes, and I thought they were offering it during the summit at that price if I recall correctly. And I believe that the Saturday email was also at that price. Perhaps I did not see any language about an increase, but since it seemed to be holding during the conference, I thought it would hold until Sunday evening. Now you have me wanting to go back through my messages. In any event, it did have some good sessions, and I would be interested if they did a follow-up next year. I liked the blend between beginner and intermediate/advanced, and the variety of topics they covered.

I had to check! There was a 'Lightroom Virtual Summit starts soon email (I got mine on April 30):

P.S. The Early Price of $99 for the VIP Pass ends May 3rd at Noon EDT, so if you have been considering purchasing a VIP Pass, you may wish to do so before the price increases to $149.

I totally agree, good blend to appeal to all skill levels.

Funny, I had to check as well. But I never received the message that you did (and I even checked my email trash can). All of the messages that I did receive had links to the web site for VIP information, and none had any price information.

I wonder how the Summit organizers decide on topics to cover.

I am not certain, but most of the speakers were quite well known and seem to have taught several classes in LR and related topics over the years from looking at their web sites. Anthony and Dave did a good job of offering a variety of topics each day, so there was almost always something for everybody. I applaud them for that as I hate attending seminars where all of the topics are geared towards beginners and the conference is not labeled as such.

I just wished this occurred two years ago when I first got into Lr. Its quite a learning curve and these videos certainly compressed a lot of valuable information that what be useful to a beginner. C'est la vie.

I was pleasantly surprised by Tim Grey's courses on Lightroom and Photoshop. What I really appreciated was the ability to download videos of all the classes for unlimited offline review. GreyLearning - Optimize Your Photography and Workflow
