Lightroom suddenly won't load on my mac!

I have been using Lightroom v1.4.1 for the last year on a Mac desktop. Someone sent me a RAW file and I tried to import it into LR and now LR won't load at all. I have rebooted 1,''' times and it still won't load grrr!

I can't access any of my work now either as I am pro photographer. I have no idea what is wrong.

Where exactly in the LR load process is it failing? (Welcome by the way, sorry it's because you've encountered probs.)

Are you using the backup facility for the catalog? If so try double clicking on your last backup.
