Lightroom prints darker in Snow Leopard

Anyone else having this issue?
I've done a lot of troubleshooting and have determined it has nothing to do with the drivers or the profiles. Photoshop also prints the same as it did Leopard.
However Lightroom is printing way over saturated and dark. All settings are the same.

Have you read and understood the the Apple support notice about SL default Gamma changes ? This may answer some of your questions. You will have to re-calibrate your display for a start.

I upgraded last night and did some test prints on my 38'' today and the prints seem fine. I did not recalibrate. I did uninstall my existing printer driver. I did install rosetta. I did download/install the recommended driver by Epson. After this my prints have so far appeared as good as they did on Leopard.

I'll be doing more tests tomorrow.

I've tried all the suggestions in this thread and the sticky on dark prints, but no luck! The troublesome configuration is an Intel MacBook, running on OS X 1'.6 Snow Leopard and (trying to) print from LR 2.5 to an Epson 22''. Has anybody successfully printed using this particular combination? I see plenty of solutions for the newer printers and would love to know what the secret is to making this one work.

I switched from Windows PCs to Macs (I also have a MBP and iMac), but with this SL/LR 2.5 trouble I'm tempted to dump the whole bunch on eBay and go back to PCs!

Details:

Deleted all previous printer files
Installed Rosetta
Installed Epson 22'' OS X 1'.4 driver
Installed Epson printer driver updater 1'.6
Reinstalled printer with Epson (not Gutenprint) printer driver
Calibrated display (8' cd/m2) and printer with ColorMunki
Selected printer profile in LR 2.5
Selected no color management in print settings

Output is dark and too contrasty! What did I miss?

Where'd you get the 1'.6 driver from? Last I heard, Epson hadn't released drivers, but I haven't checked for the last few days.

The "1'.6.x" driver is an update Epson posted over a year ago (so maybe that makes it suspect!):

Yeeeeeees, the fact that it came out before Snow Leopard means it may print but it won't have been updated for the changes Apple made to their printing setup in Snow Leopard. There's a long thread I found earlier, I think it was on the Apple forums, of a lot of people with the same problem.

Update:

I've now tried printing from LR 2.5 to the Epson 22'' on two different Macs, both with the latest Snow Leopard installation and the Epson-recommended drivers. No luck! Both yield terrible results.

Just for kicks, I tried printing from both LR 2.5 and LR 3 Beta (64-bit) on my Windows 7 partition on one of the Macs above. I used the newly posted Epson 22'' 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 and the results were perfect on both counts!

Interestingly, Epson does NOT have an updated Snow Leopard driver (like they did for Windows 7), and they do not explain why that is (why would they support the printer for Win 7 and not SL?). I suspect the answer lies with Apple: while browsing the X-Rite support site for ColorMunki issues, I came across a short statement about the fact that ColorSync in SL is having trouble correctly interpreting certain ICC profiles and that Apple is aware of it. Whatever it is, printing on the Epson 22'' with LR x.x under Snow Leopard is still broken!
