Lightroom on network- bugs ?

I teach at a college and we have Lightroom 2 installed on (recent model) iMacs. Adjusting the thumbnail slider does not change the size of the thumbnails. Also, in the Library, menus (i.e. folders/Collections) can't be collapsed.

Weird I know, but the same thing happened when we had Lightroom 1.

Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum!

So when you mentioned Lightroom on network - are you thinking this is something networking related? Does this happen on all machines or just some of them? How were they installed?

Which LR2 update - 2.5? Have you tried trashing the LR1 and LR2 preferences?

Thanks for the reply. I 'm in the early days of exploration - I have never come across this before and I cannot see why being on a network should be the reason, but thought it worth mentioning. It is on all machines - about 15, all iMacs, OS 1'.5. It's version 2.5 and I haven't tried trashing prefs - will do next. I'm not a network administrator - I'll be speaking to him soon and can find out more info re installation etc.

The fact it's on all machines could indeed point to the network - not so much the network itself, but possibly the installation method - for example if the program or preferences were corrupted and then replicated across to all of the computers. I'd try preferences as the first port of call I think.

I'm just wondering, not hat it necessarily has anything to do with the problem, just what version 1'.5 you have allt he iMacs on? Actually at 1'.5.' or the most recent 1'.5.8 I believe.

And you say this is happening on all machines all set-up the same? Very strange!
