Operating System
  1. Windows 11
Following the last updates to both LR & PS it is no longer possible to send a photo from LR to PS for further editing.
I have uninstalled both programs & then reinstalled them but the problem remains.
Selecting Edit in opens PS, however, none of the menu options are available & I can't close PS without resorting to Task Manager.

Just to clarify, you have Lightroom Classic. It sounds like a PhotoShop problem.
I have no problems with either PS or PS Beta.

Try this - Open up PhotoShop first, and by itself. Can you open up a photo using the Open command.
If so, leaving PS open, open up Lightroom classic. Select a photo, and then "edit in Photoshop".
What happens?

Hi Jimmsp, Thanks for the advice, appreciate your time.
Yes, I can open PS & open files with no problem. However, leaving it open I still can't pass photo's from LR.
However, I have downloaded PS Beta & it works fine (so far)(y)

Very strange that PS won't work, but PS Beta will. At this point I have no other ideas, except to report it to Adobe as a PS problem. I may open PS later and poke around in the preferences to see if anything pops out.

There are various reports of issues similar to those described above. The root cause appears to be the sequence in which upgrades are applied to LrC, Photoshop and Photoshop beta. As I do not currently experiment with beta versions I have not paid attention to this issue… but you may find other discussions which outline the best way forward or someone with direct experience may chip in.
