I have LR 1.4.1, which had been working fine. I was primarily downloading NEF files from my Nikon D8'. I upgraded to a Nikon D3'' and downloaded in NEF. The first couple of downloads everything worked fine, but now when I click LR it flashes up on the screen for about a second then immediately crashes. Don't know if the new camera is coincidental, but it's the only thing that's changed ...
I'm on a Mac G5 with OS X 1'.4.11. And I read another thread about launching while holding down the "control" key. I ended up with the same crash result.
Appreciate any insight. I miss my Lightroom.

Go to ~/Library/Preferences and look for com.adobe.Lightroom.plist.
Archive it and then delete the original
Start Lightroom.

If it stills crashes, unarchive the file, the preferences are fine.
It's not the control key on Mac, it's Option. Try holding Option when starting Lightroom if deleting the prefs doesn't work. Create a new catalog.
If this is fine, it means your catalog is corrupted.

That worked ...

Thanks, Sean. Going through the Library worked. I ended up re-installing LR then, but it's back up and running. Appreciate the insight.
