I am tidying up my Lightroom catalog (on Mac), which has ended up being in two parts. I try to move a whole day's worth of photos at a time. One problem I have is that when I try to move some files, I get a message that the folder for that date already exists in the part of the catalog I'm trying to move the files to. When I look in Finder, it does indeed exist (and has no files in it), but I don't see it in Lightroom. Obviously, I can't move files into a non-existent folder, so how do I get Lightroom to show the folder? I hope the attached screenshot makes my question clear.

Lightroom Classic is trying to create a folder with that name where one already exists. The file system won’t let two folder. (Or files) with the same name be created at the same place, The simple solution is to delete the empty folder and then move the folder via LrC. Alternately, if the folder shows up on the Folder panel at the destination you can simply move the image files inside the olde folder to the new location folder

Thank you. That's very helpful. I was always told how LrC hates to have files moved outside of its own system, so I wasn't sure removing the folder that way would not mess things up.
