Ok guys, so I have Lightroom on my Mac, but recently acquired a PC laptop and decided to see how Lightroom runs. I'm on a Vista 64-bit, 4G, Quad, the works. Got the latest 2.3 which installs in 64-bit mode. Installed and started up perfectly. Problem is that no images are showing, either in preview, thumbnails. Histogram isn't showing any information either.

Here's a screenshot of what an image looks like, it's simply a grey box. All metadata is intact. When I click on the thumbnail, the "No Photo Selected" text continues to display although a box for where the picture should be appears.

I'm suspecting the issue is outside of Lightroom, but my attempts at getting Support for my VAIO, as well as from Adobe have proved fruitless. They really should stop outsourcing.

Thanks in advance.

Hi theramones, welcome to the forum!

At a guess, graphics card driver needs to be updated, or the monitor profile is corrupted. Those are the 2 usual suspects.

Problem solved:

Switched from WCS to ICC profile.

Start>Control Panel>Color Management then Remove Profile, and Add ICC profile, either Adobe 1998 or sRGB.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums from me too.
Note that it is a temporary solution as those profiles are not built specifically for your display. You will eventually want to get it properly calibrated with some device...
