Would appreciate some help pls. Realised that in 64-bit mode, computer crashes when loading up lightroom and if it survives loading, will crash on import or import very slowly but works fine (and quicker) in 32-bit.
Have tried the following which made no difference.
Upgraded from 2.4 to 2.5
pressed alt key while loading up and selected new catalogue
tried deleting lightroom preference file .com.adobe.lightroom2.plist
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac, 3 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM (2+1)
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 26''
Leopard (latest version but not upgraded to snow leopard).
Computer works fine with everything else.
No other programs running at same time to compromise RAM etc.
Is my iMac just incapable of running lightroom in 64-bit mode? Would it be ok with Snow Leopard? Is there some other setting I should change to get it to work?
Many thanks for any advice you can give me.
Billy
