I recently tried downloading a trial version of Lightroom Classic but ended up with the Cloud version which I've cancelled. I've hit the links again for LrC but once again been led to the Lr plan. How do actually download LrC trial ?
Thanks

I am not fully sure about running a trial version... but Adobe terminology has a track record of confusing people.

To install Lightroom Classic... you first have to install the Adobe Creative Cloud App as a desktop application on a Win PC.

Launching the app will then probably invite you to use the account credentials you used to create the trial. Once it has accepted your credentials you will find where you can download all the desktop LrC related apps, eg LrClassic, Bridge, Photoshop, etc. You will also have the option to download Lightroom Desktop... which is the cloud version of Lr. I suggest you do not download this at this stage until you have launched and used Classic, imported and edited a few test images, etc...

This Creative Cloud app is a core component of the Adobe Lr Application Suite and is used to manage and maintain updates going forward.

There are two "plans" that include Classic . The Lightroom Plan includes Lightroom (Cloud Version) and Lightroom Classic but not Photoshop. The Photography plan includes everything in the Lightroom plan and Photoshop. Matt is correct. You need to start with the Creative Cloud app manager. From there, you can choose which apps to install.

I think this is the link to start https://commerce.adobe.com/store/co...ang=en&sdid=2FDNCC3M&mv=search&mv2=paidsearch

If you don't wish to continue using it. On the cancellation page be sure to scroll down to confirm your choice. A few people have missed that step.

It seems like Adobe doesn't want people to know about Lightroom Classic and makes it harder to find. I went to www.adobe.com, clicked on Products near the top-left, and selected All Products, which took me to https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog.html. I then checked the Desktop type to reduce the number of results and scrolled down to the bottom of the grid of products, where I saw Lightroom Classic with a Free trial button. When I clicked the Free trial button, it took me to https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog.html#mini-plans-web-cta-photoshop-lightroom-classic-card. I already have a subscription, so I stopped there, but it looks like you have to sign up for a subscription to get the free trial. It says you won't be charged until after your 7-day free trial ends.
