Lightroom Classic Syncing issue - Replaced the last months of edits with the 'original edits', 150 missing and stuck on syncing 24 images

I have had so many problems with lightroom since i started using Lightroom Classic (i need it to use Loupedeck).

Today has been horrendous. I have found that all my edits ive done over christmas on my ipad have now been replaced with the original image. I have noticed i can goto Versions on my Ipad and select Auto and then there is a backup on there. Is there an automated version to be able to update my photos with this latest version or do i need to do it one by one?

Lightroom classic is stuck syncing 24 images. I cant work out which images are stuck as the Sync Activity is blank

I have rebuilt my sync library tonight to see if that willl help fix it.

and finally - I see on Lightroom classic that the catalog has 33650 images, of which 33650 are synced. Yet online there should be 33703. I have permantly deleted any in my recycle bin. And checked that they arent videos. Im sure there was an option in the online lightroom web page to find erroneous/unsynced images but i cant find that option.

any help will be appreciated.

I am also looking for answers as I have the same problem as you. I rebuilt my catalogue last night and it didn’t fix my problem.

I’ve just had to sit in front of my desktop with the iPad and change the versions one by one and make sure try computer version updated on 800 images.

that was my solution too - to manually update each version.

the syncing across different machines is atrocious. i do need a cloud solution - but i’m worried that in the future this will happen again or worse - affect all my edits.
