Hi Folks,

I'm currently running Lightroom 12.5.1 on a MacBook Air on OS Big Sur, because of the older OS I've been unable to update Photshop and Lightroom for some time, which hasn't really been an issue until now.

Lightroom is now telling me I can no longer sync between desktop and mobile apps. I suspect I'm going to have to buy a new Mac in order to upgrade Lightroom and restore sync abilities, before I do, I just want to check in case anyone else has had this issue and maybe knows of a workaround.

Bets wishes

Solution
LrC version 13.3 is now the minimum level for cloud syncing. So yes, you will have to find a way to upgrade to at least 13.3 if you want to carry on syncing.

Solution
I have similar problem but with MacBook Pro, M2 Max processor running Sonoma 14.6.1 and Lightroom Classic version: 13.1. LR Classic no longer sees anything in the cloud to sync with (LR web tells me there are 14,000 photos there).

As above, Classic has to be 13.3 or above.

Nothing got deleted from the cloud, just LrC can't sync anymore if it's pre-13.3.

Thank you Paul and yes, I understand. Is there a way of upgrading to 13.3 please? -I don't want to go to v 14 yet until it's had time to settle down.

Thank you

Yes. In the CC App, click Apps, and in the LrC box you'll see three dots (bottom left) - you can select the version to install from there. We'd recommend 13.5.1 as it has various fixes for 13.3/4 (although most are finding 14.0 good).

Thank you Paul, 13.5.1 installed successfully and it's now syncing. I very much appreciate your help.

For future info, something to be aware of: I followed your instructions and clicked the install older version 13.5.1 which did its thing.....but as soon as it finished I pressed continue and it started to install v14. I needed to cancel this manually.

Ah, good to have mentioned. Ensure Auto Update is off for LrC, too (I guess it was as you'd stayed on 13.2).

Hi Folks, Thanks for confirming that I'll need to upgrade to continue syncing.
