Lightroom Beta 3 - After importing images LB3 alters the files - help

i've imported my files via card reader to my drive using L B3. They were shot under monochrome settings with a tint of sepia looked perfect. Now when loaded into l b3 it transforms them back to colour and adjusts it. How do i get control of this seemingly automatic action. I just want my Shots as i shot them

Well, Guvnor, Raw photos show what the sensor sees, which is 3 colors RGB. If you shot your photos as RAW, you can't get the monochrome/sepia upon import into Lightroom. You'd have to edit the photos in Lightroom to get that effect.

If you really want straight out of the camera monochrome/sepia, you have to shoot JPG (or maybe use your camera maker's software to view the RAWs, I don't know cause you didn't tell us what camera it was)

I shot using a d3 Nikon
I ve noticed even the colour images are transformed upon import from how I shot them. Is there a say to conform the flow so it remains the way I shot them. And then how do I keep the monochromatics the way the camera shoots them with the tints I add in camera ??

Ok thank you. But why does the thumbnail image alter it's values visibly. It looks perfect then poof it changes into a more saturated or lighter version. Upon selecting the image. ?

The link I provided explains why it appears that Lightroom has altered your image.
