Lightroom auto starts

Whenever I insert a CF card into my computers card reader, lightroom will auto start. I don't always want Lightroom to start straight away. Is there a way I can stop lightroom from auto starting.

Library menu > Edit > Preferences > Import tab > uncheck 'Show import dialog when card is detected"

This may not stop the behavior, there have been occasional irregularities reported.

If you're on Windows, look for a start-up file adproxy.exe, and set it to not run at start time.
