Lightroom 9.4 Import Source listing not showing folders (Win 10)

New problem for me here. When importing photos from desktop or the My Pictures folders (or any other source), two things happen:

1. The Source lists do not include the Desktop or the My Documents folder or really much of anything else other than some standard Windows C: locations, . No photos in any locations on my computer...or any Locations ). (see PDF below)
2. I can use the arrow shortcut (to the right of the Select a source header) and click on Desktop. The result is every image on the desktop showing and absolutely no folder structure.

I have been using LR since the beta testing phase...

A couple of thoughts:

1. You're on LR 9.4, which is a year old. Try updating to LR 10.4.

2. As a possible workaround, in the upper-right of the Import window, click on the double-arrow drop-down menu and select Other Source:

Can you then navigate to your desired folders?
